Meet the Owner
My name is Quanna Boyd, PMHNP-BC, and my journey in mental health began when I was just 19 years old working as a certified nursing assistant in a psychiatric facility. What started as a job quickly became my passion. I grew to love the population — their strength, their stories, and the opportunity to make a difference in their lives.
In 2010, I joined the U.S. Navy at 21 and witnessed firsthand the urgent need for more compassionate mental health providers. The high rates of suicide among service members left a lasting impact on me and strengthened my commitment to this field.
I became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2016, continuing my work in psychiatry, and later advanced to Registered Nurse in 2019, where I served as a supervisor in long-term care and veterans’ homes. Each role deepened my understanding of how vital it is for people to feel truly seen and supported — not just treated.
Becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner was the next step in that journey. My goal is simple: to create a safe, judgment-free space where every person feels heard, understood, and empowered to heal at their own pace.
